Glossary

The words you meet in your first session, in plain English.

Abort
Type abort and send it to stop the current run.
API key
A long code you generate inside another system (your POS, Metrc, Klaviyo) and paste into Winston to connect it. The key's own permissions decide what Winston may do there.
Approve / Reject
Yes, do what the card says / No. Rejected items are archived, nothing is sent, the chat answer stays.
Credits
What work costs. 100 credits = $1 on Starter, $0.83 on Pro. Bigger jobs use more; free earned credits never expire.
Delivery
Where a scheduled job sends its result. None means Library only. Slack or email means it goes out with no Approve.
Draft / Ready
Library items Winston is still finishing sit under Draft. Approved work moves to Ready.
Learn Winston
The last item in the left menu: starter prompt cards picked for you, each with Run this and What to expect.
Library
Approved files and pages land in the Library; other actions go to the destination named on the Work Audit card. Holds Webpages, Spreadsheets, Reports, Videos, Decks. Team-wide.
Missing fields / limitations
The section at the end of an answer that says what the data could not do. Read it first.
New Chat
Starts a fresh session with fresh context. Winston does not carry the previous conversation over.
Overview
Your home page: an Ask box, the Morning Briefing, Pending Approvals, and Upcoming Jobs.
Padlock (locked prompt)
A prompt that needs a connection you have not made yet. Hover the padlock to see which one.
POS
Point of sale: the system that rings up sales and tracks inventory (Treez, Dutchie, or Blaze).
Prompt
An instruction you give Winston, typed in Chat or run from a card. Starter prompts are the ready-made ones on Learn Winston.
Run this
Start a starter prompt now. It reads data and writes the answer in Chat. Finished files and tasks park in Work Audits.
Scheduled Task
A job Winston runs on a schedule you set by asking in Chat. One card per job on the Scheduled Tasks screen.
Session
One chat thread. Come back any time; Winston remembers its context.
Suggestion
The Work Audits tab for work Winston proposes on its own. Nothing runs unless you act on one; Pending holds the work you asked for.
"Thought for 2m · 12 steps"
Working notes. Click to expand. Safe to skip; open them when you want to see where a number came from.
Work Audit
Winston's "may I?" inbox. Not an audit of you. Finished work that would publish, send, or create something waits here.
Workspace
Your company account: one Winston, one credit balance, one team. Switch at bottom left if you have several.
