Request a custom monitor in conversation
If you want Winston to watch something specific, start by describing the outcome. A conversation can define the request, but the setup is not complete until you can verify what was saved and how it will run.
Describe the check
Include the item or business process, the data source, the condition to watch, the frequency and who should receive a result.
If a threshold depends on a calculation, agree on the definition. "Seven days of stock" needs a sales window and a rule for zero sales. "Advertising cost too high" needs the campaign, cost measure and comparison period.
Know what you are creating
Verify activation
Before relying on a recurring check, confirm its name, scope, rule, cadence, timezone, source, destination and enabled state. Know where to pause or change it. For a scheduled task, verify it on Scheduled Tasks. For Overview monitoring, verify the supported configuration and the resulting behavior; a chat reply alone is not enough.
If Winston cannot create the requested monitor, ask for the nearest supported alternative, be that a reusable analysis, an available monitoring area or a scheduled report, and what data or product capability is missing.
Connecting marketing or HR software does not by itself make a new Overview monitor available. See Check data coverage. To change the areas Winston already watches, see Monitoring settings.
