Build a daily and weekly Winston routine
Start with one recurring decision you already make. Use Winston to reduce the work around that decision, then expand once you trust the process.
Each morning: review the priorities
Open Overview, confirm the workspace and check the data date. Read the most important cards and open the ones worth investigating. Check the monitoring summary for missing data as well as findings.
Open a review for anything that needs investigation. Ask for the evidence, business impact and one practical next step. Decide who on your team will follow through using your existing task process; a card alone is not an assigned task.
Once a week: check the pattern
Choose one useful comparison, such as stock availability, gross profit dollars, slow inventory or promotion economics. Use the same store scope, definitions and completed period each time.
Compare actions taken with later results. If an alert cleared, inspect why; do not assume the change was caused by Winston or count estimated exposure as realized savings.
Make the good work repeatable
After a useful result is checked, decide whether to save the method as a skill, schedule a report or request a supported monitor. Confirm the saved configuration and keep external delivery off until the audience and output are agreed.
Review Usage after representative runs so you understand the credit cost before increasing frequency.
Keep the routine useful
Adjust priorities when too many findings are irrelevant. Investigate missing data when too few appear. Periodically review connections, scheduled jobs and delivery destinations, especially when a teammate changes roles or leaves.
The goal is a small number of repeatable decisions with clear follow-through, not a growing pile of reports.
